• Q. Is there a discounted fee for those who pay in full?

  If you will be paying in full prior to Registration, you will qualify for a “Pay In Full Credit".
  

• Q. What type of payment plans are available?

  We currently offer a monthly payment plan option with the first payment due in July and the final payment due in April. We also offer a semester plan with payments due in July and December.

• Q. Blackbaud Tuition Management FAQ

  Blackbaud Tuition Managment can be used to set up your payments to the school. If this is not convenient, you can make payments directly to the Academy. We accept wire transfers as well as checks or cash at the Business Office. Follow these instructions to send a wire transfer: Frost Wire Transfer Information

• Q. Does the Academy offer Financial Aid?

  San Marcos Academy is dedicated to the principle that qualified students should be able to attend this school, regardless of their ability to pay. We offer need-based financial aid to help fill the gap between the actual cost of tuition and what a family can realistically afford to pay.

  
  Students must apply and be accepted to San Marcos Academy before they can apply for financial aid.

  
  San Marcos Academy partners with Blackbaud Tuition Management for financial assistance request processing. Once your application is processed, a financial aid recommendation will be forwarded from Blackbaud to San Marcos Academy. All final financial aid decisions and notifications of an award amount (if any) will be made by the SMA Financial Aid Committee.

• Q. How do I see my charges and receive my invoices?

  The Academy uses Blackbaud Tuition Management for invoicing and collections. After acceptance to the Academy, your Blackbaud Tuition Management account will be created by the Business Office and a Blackbaud Tuition Management Family ID will be assigned to you. All invoices and communications will be sent to you via e-mail.

  
  For security reasons, you will need to contact Blackbaud Tuition Management at 888-868-8828 for your account log in and password. With this information you can access your account at parent.blackbaud.school. Blackbaud Tuition Management’s call center is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. • Q. Do you offer a referral discount?

  SMA offers a referral discount for families who assist in recruiting new students. Currently enrolled students will receive a tuition credit for a referral to the Academy ($500 for a day student referral and $1,000 for a boarding student referral). The credit will be awarded when a referred student 1) applies and is accepted to the Academy (2) identifies the referring family on the application itself and (3) enrolls at SMA. Children of SMA employees are exempt from this discount.

• Q. Is there a discount for families who enroll more than one child?

  Yes, we offer a sibling credit for each child enrolled at the Academy. 

• Q. Are any PreK–12 Education Loans available?

  Families may want to look at the PreK–12 Family Education Loan through SallieMae. SMA is a Sallie Mae certified school and can work with parents before the start of private elementary school to help with the loan processing in San Marcos, TX.

• Q. La Cima Good Neighbor Grant

  San Marcos Academy is offering a La Cima Good Neighbor Grant of $2,000 for new home residents whose children enroll at SMA. The grant will be applied toward the tuition of each student during his or her first year as our way of welcoming your family to the neighborhood!

• Q. Can my students charge at the Bookstore?

  After Registration, your student may occasionally need to purchase items at the Bookstore. We recommend that students have access to a debit or credit card. If this is not convenient, we will allow your student to charge to his or her student account. All bookstore charges will appear on your Blackbaud Tuition Management invoice.

• Q. Are there other discounts my family might qualify for?

  San Marcos Academy offers a $1,000 first responder or military/veteran discount. This discount will be applied to the student’s tuition for one year. If more than one student enrolls from the same family, each student will receive these tuition discounts.
