Lower School
The Lower School at San Marcos Academy offers a private, academically advanced, Christ-centered Elementary education for day students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
Using a diverse phonics-based curriculum combined with the Deep Roots curriculum, students gain the best possible foundation for middle school, one that is founded in a greater story.
In addition to the support the students receive as a result of the small class sizes, the Accommodated Learning Program provides support for students with mild to moderate learning differences or reading delays. The student to teacher ratio allows for each student to receive the support they need to become lifelong learners.
With small classroom sizes, community along with the curriculum is developed. Each child becomes a member of the tight-knit SMA community. Not only does each child have a place in the community, but each child is positioned to learn their place in God’s story.
Through a field trip enriched curriculum as well as age-appropriate participation in school-wide activities, events and traditions at SMA such as Homecoming, local parades, festivals, and performances.
