For more than 100 years, San Marcos Academy has offered excellence in coeducational, college preparatory education for boarding and day students within a nurturing, Christian community. It has been my privilege to serve this school in one capacity or another for five decades. As president, I am honored to guide our faculty and staff as we prepare our students for the future and share with them the love of Jesus Christ.
The first graduating class from San Marcos Academy received their diplomas in 1908. More than 6,000
outstanding young men and women have graduated from San Marcos Academy since that time. Our hope and
prayer is that all of our graduates will become leaders whose lives are built on integrity, a strong
moral compass and a total commitment to life-long learning and who exemplify Christ’s devotion to service
and His compassionate concern for others. We consider it our mission and calling to facilitate this vision.
As parents, you want the best educational experience possible for your son and daughter. As you evaluate
schools to find the right fit for your child, I encourage you to look closely at San Marcos Academy. Named
one of the top 30 Christian schools in the country, SMA provides challenging yet personalized instruction
by caring, well-trained teachers. Our residence life, recreation and Christian ministries staffs offer the
structure and guidance students need to learn key life skills as they grow and mature into young adults.
Former and current students have tried to pinpoint what it is that makes the Academy so special. Having worked
with and observed students at San Marcos Academy for 50 years, I can tell you that we offer a one-of-a-kind,
transformational experience that can lay the groundwork for a successful future. I invite you to learn more
about this remarkable “Academy Experience” by exploring our website or, better yet, visiting our campus to
see it for yourself.
Blessings to you,
