Football Season: Open Letter to Players from Coach Davis

Football Season Drawing Near

football seasonThe summer is quickly coming to a close and football season is drawing near. Hellas Construction is working on finishing up the artificial turf field and new track to give us one of the premier facilities for any school in our league. Now is the time to start gearing up and getting excited about having a great year. I encourage everyone to give the best of their talents to help us achieve our goal of a championship season. I know that some of you have never played football and others may have tried it in the past and not enjoyed it, but I would like everyone to give me and the football staff a chance to work with you to develop your athletic skills. Everything we do in football will help you in other sports as well as help you learn leadership, team-building and self-confidence skills.

Our schedule this year includes ten games and two scrimmages. We will play six of the games at home on our beautiful new field.

Football Season: Don’g Neglect Conditioning

football season 2Our first game will be in Charlotte on Friday, September 1. That will be here before we know it! We cannot waste any time in preparing. I hope you have been enjoying the summer, but also keeping up with your conditioning. This is the time to make a final push to get ready. Spend some quality time outside in the heat to acclimate yourself. The better shape we are in as a team, the less time we will spend on conditioning and the better football team we will become. I hope you are as excited as I am about the approaching season. I am ready to start now!
